Britney's Review of Under The Never Sky

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
Publication Date: January 3, 2012
Summary: Since she'd been on the outside, she'd survived an Aether storm, she'd had a knife held to her throat, and she'd seen men murdered.
This was worse.
Exiled from her home, the enclosed city of Reverie, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland-known as The Death Shop-are slim. If the cannibals don't get her, the violent, electrified energy storms will. She's been taught that the very air she breathes can kill her. Then Aria meets an Outsider named Perry. He's wild-a savage-and her only hope of staying alive.
A hunter for his tribe in the merciless landscape, Perry views Aria as sheltered and fragile-everything he would expect from a Dweller. But he needs Aria's help too; she alone holds the key to his redemption. Opposites in nearly every way, Aria and Perry must accept each other to survive. Their unlikely alliance forges a bond that will determine the fate of all who live under the never sky.

My Rating: 5/5 stars

My Review: I have had this book on my shelf for quite some time now, but had never gotten around to reading it. I didn't even actually know what the book was about, just something about a world where the sky is dangerous. I also knew there was a character named Roar, who from what other people were saying, reminded me of Kenji from the Shatter Me series. I love Kenji so I was super excited to see if Roar was actually like Kenji, and I was not disappointed. Both of those characters are friends with the main male character, and overtime become good friends with the female main character. Both Kenji and Roar are just so funny, and can easily make you laugh.
I picked this book up finally because I wanted a book that wasn't just made up of romance, and a story that had adventure. This also didn't disappoint me. There was plenty of adventure and action, and I couldn't stop reading because I had to know what was going to happen next. I quite liked the world building and learning about what world these people lived in, although I do hope there is more in the next books. The romance was perfect too. It wasn't instant, and it took the two awhile to get there. I mean, they basically hated each other at at first. It was a nice buildup. This series is going to end up being on of my favorites, I can already tell.
